Diversity & Inclusion

1. Purpose of this statement

This Diversity and Inclusion Statement describes Diversit’s approach to building an inclusive, respectful and fair working environment.

Diversit is a data and artificial intelligence consultancy serving organisations across Europe and internationally. We work with organisations on data, analytics, governance and AI-enabled services. Our people, contractors, clients and partners may work across different locations, cultures, backgrounds and professional disciplines.

This statement is published voluntarily. It sets out our current approach and commitments and will be reviewed as our business grows.

3. Our commitment

We believe that diverse teams make better decisions, ask better questions and build more useful data and AI solutions. We aim to create a working environment where people are treated with dignity, fairness and respect.

We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, bullying, victimisation or exclusionary behaviour. We expect people working with or for Diversit to act professionally and to respect differences in background, identity, experience, perspective and working style.

4. Equal opportunity

We aim to provide equal opportunity in recruitment, selection, engagement, development, promotion and day-to-day working practices. Decisions should be based on relevant skills, experience, capability, performance, business needs and lawful role requirements.

We do not knowingly discriminate on grounds such as age, disability, gender reassignment, marital or civil status, pregnancy or maternity, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, caring responsibilities, socio-economic background, or any other status protected by applicable law.

5. Inclusive working practices

We aim to support inclusive working practices that help people contribute effectively. This may include clear communication, respectful meeting practices, accessible documents where feasible, flexibility where appropriate, and consideration of reasonable adjustments for disabled people or people with specific accessibility needs.

We recognise that inclusion is practical as well as cultural. It depends on how work is designed, how decisions are made, how feedback is given, and whether people feel able to raise concerns or contribute different perspectives.

6. Recruitment and hiring

We seek to run recruitment and contractor selection processes in a fair and transparent way. We aim to describe roles clearly, assess candidates against relevant criteria, and avoid unnecessary barriers that could exclude qualified people.

Where external recruiters, partners or contractors are involved, we expect them to support lawful, respectful and non-discriminatory hiring practices.

7. Data, AI and responsible delivery

Because Diversit works with data and artificial intelligence, we recognise that diversity and inclusion are relevant not only to our workplace but also to the way digital systems are designed, tested and governed.

Where applicable to our work, we encourage clients and project teams to consider bias, fairness, accessibility, explainability, governance and human oversight in data and AI solutions. Final responsibilities for deployment, operational controls and legal compliance are set out in the relevant client agreements and project governance arrangements.

8. Clients, suppliers and partners

We expect clients, suppliers and partners to interact with Diversit personnel in a respectful and lawful manner. We also expect suppliers and partners engaged by Diversit to maintain working practices that are consistent with applicable equality, employment, health and safety and anti-harassment laws.

Where concerns arise, we will consider the nature of the issue, the relationship involved, the available evidence and the appropriate response. This may include discussion, remediation, escalation, suspension or ending a relationship where necessary.

9. Raising concerns

Employees, contractors, suppliers, clients and other stakeholders are encouraged to raise concerns about discrimination, harassment, bullying, exclusionary conduct or accessibility barriers connected with Diversit.

We will review concerns raised in good faith and handle them as sensitively and fairly as reasonably possible.

10. Review and improvement

We will review this statement periodically and update it where our business, workforce, services, legal obligations or risk profile materially changes.

As Diversit grows, we will continue to improve our policies, processes and working practices in a proportionate way, with the aim of supporting fair treatment, inclusive participation and responsible delivery.
